Psychotherapist in Nottingham and Loughborough

A little about Me

I offer psychotherapy and counselling from my practice rooms in the village of Bunny in South Nottinghamshire and from Loughborough. I am an accredited member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and have a MSc (Dist.) and PGDip in Integrative Psychotherapy gained at the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute (SPTI).

I support clients with life's unspoken pressures, expectations and relational difficulties. I work with clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, loss, low mood, overwhelm, disconnection, burnout, or a sense of misalignment between who they are and what is expected of them.

My therapeutic approach is relational and integrative, which means I draw on different therapeutic ideas to meet you as an individual. I believe that meaningful change can happen through being heard, understood and accepted within a safe setting.

My therapeutic work is informed by both by my clinical training and my lived experience. Before retraining as a therapist, I practised as a lawyer for more than 20 years and I have also supported legal professionals as a Skills Coach at the University of Law. I also have experience working as a counsellor in the voluntary sector, working for several years at the Leicester Counselling Centre and the Nottingham Women's Centre.

About Counselling

My therapy practice

I work with clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, loss, low mood, overwhelm, disconnection, burnout, or a sense of misalignment between who they are and what is expected of them.

My therapeutic approach is relational and integrative, which means I draw on different therapeutic ideas to meet you as an individual to support you in exploring how your past experiences shape your present patterns, emotions, and relationships.

Therapy with me is collaborative and grounded in the belief that change emerges through a safe, reflective space where you can be met, understood, and supported to grow in ways that feel authentic and sustainable.

A gentle space to explore

Whether you are grappling with a specific issue, feeling low, anxious or emotionally stuck; perhaps sensing that something deeper needs attention, including help with unprocessed experiences that are having a lasting impact on you. I offer a commitment to work at your pace.

You don’t have to figure it out alone; and you don’t have to keep pushing through. I offer a confidential, gentle and reflective space in which you can foster insight and resilience through curiosity and compassion.

I provide a non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and relationships; sometimes seeking relief from negative feelings and experiences, both past and present.

Supporting clients through life transitions

Supporting clients through life transitions is a focus of my practice. These changes may be planned, like career shifts; or be unexpected, such as bereavement, ill health or relationship breakdowns. These life chapters often bring feelings of uncertainty and quiet grief that are seldom acknowledged; although they can also offer opportunities for reflection, healing, and personal growth.

I am particularly passionate about working with women who are navigating the transitions and pressures of midlife.

I offer a supportive space to pause and reflect. My aim is for clients to feel seen, understood, and empowered to live their lives with confidence and compassion.
